"If I had more faith or prayed harder, I would already be healed."
How it sounds in your head: Other people get healed at conferences, but not me. I must not be praying right or believing hard enough. Maybe there's hidden sin blocking my healing. If I just had mustard seed faith, this would be gone. What's wrong with my faith?
"But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, 'Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.' And the woman was made well from that hour."
-- Matthew 9:22Religious performance teaching that puts healing on the believer's faith quality rather than Christ's finished work.
She's watched others testify of instant healing while she's still sick, creating the assumption that her faith is defective or insufficient compared to theirs.
Invalid for thirty-eight years, lying among other sick people, full of excuses about why he couldn't be healed. Jesus didn't say 'Believe harder' or 'Get your faith right.' He simply commanded, 'Rise, take up your bed and walk,' and IMMEDIATELY the man was made well—healed despite his doubt and excuses.
I REFUSE the lie that my healing depends on perfect faith. IT IS WRITTEN that the woman with the issue of blood was healed with trembling, imperfect faith—Jesus called her DAUGHTER and she was made whole. My righteousness is not by faith quality but by faith OBJECT—Jesus and His finished work. IT IS WRITTEN in Hebrews 12:2 that Jesus is the Author AND Finisher of faith—He completes what I cannot. I am Abraham's seed, blessed by the BARAK that has nothing to do with my performance and everything to do with covenant. My healing was purchased 2,000 years ago. I receive it now.
The Father isn't grading your faith like a theology exam, waiting for you to believe hard enough to unlock healing. He's the Father who healed the invalid full of excuses, who restored Peter who denied Him three times. Your healing flows from His finished work, not your faith perfection.
