"My anxiety-induced stomach and chest pain will never go away—fear is controlling my body."
How it sounds in your head: When I'm nervous—which is a lot now—my stomach hurts and my chest gets tight. Sometimes I can't breathe right. The counselor says it's anxiety and I need to learn 'coping skills.' Does this mean I'll always feel like this when I'm scared? Will anxiety control my body forever?
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
-- 2 Timothy 1:7Spirit of fear manifesting physically, combined with therapeutic approaches that manage symptoms instead of breaking the spirit's power through Jesus' authority.
The physical symptoms are immediate and intense, proving the connection between her emotions and body. Adults are teaching her to 'manage' anxiety rather than be FREE from it, creating expectation of lifelong struggle rather than breakthrough.
They were in a life-threatening storm, terrified, physically affected by fear (probably nauseous, hearts racing, breathing shallow). Jesus spoke ONE WORD—'Peace, be still'—and IMMEDIATELY the wind ceased and there was great calm—external storm AND internal anxiety gone in ONE MOMENT.
I REFUSE the lie that anxiety controls my body! IT IS WRITTEN that God has NOT given me a spirit of fear but of POWER, love, and a SOUND MIND! Fear, you are NOT mine—GET OUT of my stomach, GET OUT of my chest, GET OUT of my thoughts! I have been given AUTHORITY over you! IT IS WRITTEN that perfect love casts out fear, and God's perfect love LIVES IN ME! My body is the temple of peace, not the temple of panic! I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing covers my emotions—blessed peace, blessed calm, blessed confidence! I breathe easy RIGHT NOW because the Prince of Peace lives in me!
Your Father isn't teaching you breathing exercises to manage panic—He's speaking 'Peace, be still' over every storm inside you. He sees you COMPLETELY FREE from anxiety, breathing deeply, living fully present—and He's already placed His supernatural peace in you. You don't need coping skills—you need to KNOW who lives inside you.
