"My ambitions and dreams are too big. I need to be realistic and scale back."
How it sounds in your head: Who do you think you are to want that? Other people accomplish big things, not you. Your dreams are delusional. Adults keep telling you to 'be realistic.' Maybe they're right—you're setting yourself up for failure. Small dreams are safer.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
-- Ephesians 3:20World's limitation mindset and fear-based 'practicality' crushing God-sized vision.
Adults constantly tell him to have a 'backup plan' or choose something 'more realistic.' Comparing himself to others who seem further ahead makes his dreams feel impossible.
Seventeen-year-old Joseph dreamed his family would bow to him—insane ambition for a kid. His brothers hated him for it, sold him into slavery. God fulfilled the 'too big' dream exactly—Joseph ruled Egypt, family bowed, instant breakthrough from prison to palace in one day.
I REFUSE the lie that my dreams are too big. IT IS WRITTEN that God does exceedingly abundantly ABOVE all I can ask or think—my biggest dream is BENEATH His intention. I am NOT delusional; I am a son carrying the Father's vision. IT IS WRITTEN that with God nothing is impossible. The Abraham blessing guarantees overflow, not 'realistic'—lend to nations, head not tail, above only. I dream God-sized dreams because I serve a God-sized God. What looks impossible to man is WRITTEN into my destiny.
The Father didn't put those dreams in you to mock you—He put them there to MARK you. He's not waiting for you to scale back; He's expanding the blueprint.
