"Money is the root of all evil; pursuing it corrupts your soul."
How it sounds in your head: Scripture says it right there—money is evil. Look at all the corrupt wealthy people. Every rich person you know has moral compromises. Better to be poor and righteous than rich and rotten. Money changes people for the worse.
"A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry; but money answers everything."
-- Ecclesiastes 10:19Misquoted Scripture (1 Timothy 6:10 says LOVE of money, not money itself); religious poverty theology.
You've seen wealth corrupt people in your generation—business partners who betrayed, wealthy church members who fell into scandal. The misquote has been preached so often it sounds like actual Scripture.
After his suffering, God gave Job TWICE what he had before—14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 oxen, 1,000 donkeys. God personally made him the wealthiest man in the region again, proving wealth isn't evil when God is the source.
I REFUSE the lie that money itself is evil or corrupting. IT IS WRITTEN that money answers everything, and the blessing of the Lord makes rich with no sorrow. I reject the misquote that has kept generations in poverty. Abraham was exceedingly rich and God's friend. Job was wealthiest in the East and blameless. The BARAK blessing includes material abundance without moral compromise. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 8:18 that God gives me POWER to get wealth to establish His covenant. I receive wealth as a tool for Kingdom purposes, not a corrupting force. The Father doesn't fear money in my hands; He's the One putting it there. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, and wealth flows to me as covenant inheritance.
The Father isn't afraid of blessing you financially—He's the one who made Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job, and Solomon absurdly wealthy. He trusts His own kids with His own resources, and you're qualified by blood, not by poverty.
