"God is testing my faithfulness through financial struggle; breakthrough comes only after I prove myself."
How it sounds in your head: Every month is a battle—unexpected expenses, income falling short, constant pressure. I keep thinking if I just hold on longer, pray harder, give more sacrificially, God will finally say I've passed the test and open the windows. Maybe I'm still in the wilderness because I complained or didn't trust enough. I must need more refining.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
-- Ephesians 1:3Religious works-theology that makes God's blessing contingent on your performance, turning grace into a test you must pass.
She's heard countless sermons about wilderness seasons and testing, and her prolonged struggle feels like it must mean something—random suffering is unbearable, but suffering with purpose feels manageable. If it's a test, enduring gives her control.
A dying criminal with zero time to prove anything, no wilderness season, no character refinement, simply said 'Remember me' and Jesus instantly replied, 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' Salvation, acceptance, and eternal blessing in one moment—no test, no process, just grace.
I REFUSE the lie that God is testing me through lack. IT IS WRITTEN: Ephesians 1:3—He HAS blessed me with every spiritual blessing in Christ, past tense, already complete. I am not working toward blessing; I am standing IN blessing. IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 8:32—He who gave His own Son freely gives me all things. My breakthrough isn't ahead after I prove myself; it's NOW because Christ already proved Himself. I am Abraham's seed; the BARAK blessing rests on me by covenant, not by passing tests. Financial struggle is not God's will—it's the curse Christ took at Calvary. I receive abundance NOW, not because I endured long enough, but because I'm in Christ.
The Father isn't testing you to see if you're faithful enough—He's already declared you righteous, holy, and beloved in Christ before you did anything. Like the prodigal's father who didn't make his son prove himself before the party, your Father celebrates you NOW, not after the test.
