"Medical treatment means I don't have faith for divine healing"
How it sounds in your head: If I really believed God would heal me, I wouldn't need surgery or chemo. Taking medicine feels like I'm doubting. Real faith people refuse treatment and wait for the miracle.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19Religion creates false choice between medical wisdom and divine healing, making them opponents
He's heard testimonies of people who refused treatment and got miracles, and now using medicine feels like unbelief. His analytical mind sees it as either/or—if God is going to heal, why use doctors?
God promised Hezekiah 15 more years through Isaiah the prophet—divine word spoken. Then Isaiah said 'Take a lump of figs and apply it as a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover'—God's healing came through NATURAL REMEDY after supernatural promise.
I REFUSE the lie that medicine and faith are enemies. IT IS WRITTEN that God supplies ALL my need—He invented the plants medicines come from and gave humans medical wisdom. Jesus affirmed physicians' role. IT IS WRITTEN that Hezekiah got a divine promise AND used a fig poultice—God's healing came through both. I'm not limiting God to one method—I'm RECEIVING through whatever channel He provides. The BARAK blessed Abraham through kings' gifts and livestock increase—provision comes many ways but one Source.
Your Father sees you trapped in false either/or thinking and He's saying 'I gave you the miracle of medical knowledge as a GIFT—use it without guilt.' He's not offended when you take medicine any more than He's offended when you eat food—both are His provision for bodies in a fallen world.
