"If I really had faith, I'd already be healed—my symptoms prove my unbelief"
How it sounds in your head: I've been declaring healing for weeks and nothing's changed. The pain is still there. The test results came back the same. If I actually believed, wouldn't I be healed by now? Maybe I'm just fooling myself. My body is telling me the truth—my faith is fake.
"And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was able also to perform."
-- Romans 4:19-21Enemy twisting faith into a work YOU perform instead of a gift you receive, making healing conditional on YOUR faith level
When symptoms persist despite declaring promises, it feels like evidence of personal failure. The lie whispers that 'real' faith produces instant results, making ongoing symptoms feel like proof of inadequate belief.
She bled for TWELVE YEARS—faith didn't stop the bleeding until she touched Jesus. She suffered under many physicians, spent everything, and GREW WORSE. Yet Jesus said 'YOUR FAITH has made you whole.' Her faith coexisted with ongoing symptoms until the moment of breakthrough, which was INSTANT.
I REFUSE the lie that ongoing symptoms prove failed faith. IT IS WRITTEN that Abraham didn't CONSIDER his dead body but was FULLY CONVINCED God would perform His promise—that's faith. I don't deny symptoms; I deny them AUTHORITY over God's Word. Faith isn't the absence of pain; it's the confidence that by His stripes I WAS healed, past tense, finished. IT IS WRITTEN: we walk by faith, not by sight—symptoms are sight realm, temporary. I am a branch attached to the Vine; healing flows TO me, not FROM my faith performance. My healing isn't based on MY faith level—it's based on HIS finished work. The BARAK blessing worked for Abraham when he LIED—not because of his faith but because of COVENANT.
Your Father isn't withholding healing until your faith reaches some magic percentage—Jesus already purchased it at Calvary. The prodigal's father didn't wait for him to 'believe right'; he ran while the son still smelled like pigs. Symptoms are real but they're not FINAL.
