"I've missed the season for deep friendships and it's too late now."
How it sounds in your head: You're supposed to make your lifelong friends in college or as young moms. Everyone already has their people, their groups, their established circles. At your age, nobody's looking for new best friends—you missed the window and now you're just trying to squeeze into spaces that are already full.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Time-based lie from the enemy that God's blessing has expiration dates and seasons you can miss.
You see women your age with decades-long friendships, inside jokes from when their kids were little, history you can't replicate. Every group you try to join feels like joining a show in season five—you've missed too much to ever catch up or truly belong.
Dying criminal, wasted entire life, final hours of existence, no time left for building relationships or making up for lost years. Jesus gave him INSTANT paradise—'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise'—proving it is NEVER too late for God's blessing and belonging.
I REFUSE the lie that I've missed my season for meaningful connection. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the YEARS the locusts have eaten—what I think I missed, He RESTORES with supernatural abundance. The Father doesn't operate on earthly timelines or cultural deadlines—He RUNS toward me NOW with divine friendships that will feel like I've known them forever. IT IS WRITTEN that with God ALL things are possible—age limits, missed seasons, closed doors are NO BARRIER to Him. I have not missed my window—I am ENTERING my season of overflow. The BARAK blessing includes restoration and divine relationships at EVERY age.
The Father sees you convinced you've missed the window, that meaningful friendship belongs to younger seasons, and He's not shaking His head in agreement. He's RUNNING toward you with RUTH meeting NAOMI level friendship, with connections that defy timelines, with the kind of instant-soul-recognition relationship that makes up for every lost year in ONE divine encounter.
