"I've made too many wrong choices and wasted years I can't get back."
How it sounds in your head: The wrong degree. The wrong relationship that ate three years. The job you stayed in too long. The opportunities you didn't take. Every mistake feels like compounding interest on wasted time. You calculate what you could have had if you'd just chosen differently.
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
-- Romans 8:28Enemy + Condemnation: Accusation spirit weaponizing past decisions into present disqualification, making regret a prison sentence.
You can literally count the years 'lost' to bad decisions. Friends who chose better are ahead. The wrong turns feel irreversible. The 'what ifs' play on repeat, and starting over feels like admitting you're broken.
Jacob worked 7 years for Rachel, got tricked into marrying Leah, then worked ANOTHER 7 years—14 years total for one deception. Yet God blessed him massively anyway, made him father of 12 tribes, and renamed him ISRAEL. Wasted years became foundational legacy.
I REFUSE the lie that my wrong choices have wasted years I can't recover. IT IS WRITTEN that ALL THINGS work together for GOOD to those who love God—not some things, ALL THINGS. God is RESTORING the years the locust has eaten. My mistakes don't disqualify me from the BARAK blessing because the blessing operates by COVENANT, not by perfect choices. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 that there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. Jacob's 14 wasted years became the 12 tribes of Israel. My detours are becoming my TESTIMONY. God wastes NOTHING.
The Father isn't tallying your wrong turns as debt—He's already folding them into the masterpiece He's creating. While you're drowning in regret, He's running toward you with restoration that doesn't just redeem the time but MULTIPLIES it into purpose.
