"By this age I should have it all figured out, but I'm still lost."
How it sounds in your head: You should know your purpose by now, have a plan, be established in your calling. Instead you're still confused, still searching, still not sure what you're supposed to be doing. Guys your age have their thing. You're still lost.
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
-- Proverbs 3:5-6Religion: Demands clarity and certainty as prerequisites for God's favor and use
Everyone else seems to have their niche, their lane, their thing. You're still experimenting, still pivoting, still trying to figure out what you're actually good at and called to. It feels like failure.
Abraham obeyed and went out 'not knowing where he was going'—he LEFT without the full plan, without clarity, without certainty. God directed him step by step, and he became the father of faith WITHOUT having it all figured out.
I REFUSE the lie that I should have it all figured out by now. IT IS WRITTEN to lean NOT on my own understanding—He shall DIRECT my paths. Abraham left not knowing where he was going. Moses didn't know the plan at 80. My clarity is not based on MY understanding but on HIS DIRECTION. IT IS WRITTEN that I am led by the Spirit of God—He leads, I follow. I don't have to figure it out; I have to ABIDE. The Vine produces the fruit. I am blessed, directed, positioned—NOW. The steps of a righteous man are ORDERED by the Lord. He's ordering MINE.
The Father isn't frustrated by your lack of clarity. He's running toward you with the next step, the ring of authority for THIS moment, directing your paths in real-time as you ABIDE, no full roadmap required.
