"I don't have enough time left to make a real impact. My window is closing."
How it sounds in your head: If you live to 80, you have maybe 20-25 years left. That's not enough time to build something significant, write the book, launch the ministry, or leave the legacy others will. You're running out of runway.
"The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years... So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
-- Psalm 90:10,12Enemy deception equating human lifespan math with God's economy and Kingdom multiplication.
You do the math. Subtract your current age from average life expectancy and the number feels small. Other people had decades; you feel like you're working with scraps of time.
Simeon had waited his ENTIRE LIFE for one moment—to see the Messiah before he died. When it happened, he held baby Jesus, blessed Him, and said 'NOW I can die in peace.' One encounter with Jesus made his entire life complete.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm running out of time. IT IS WRITTEN that God teaches me to NUMBER my days for WISDOM—and one wisdom-filled year outweighs decades of striving. Simeon's entire life was fulfilled in ONE ENCOUNTER with Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN that with God a day is as a thousand years. I am Abraham's seed, blessed with the BARAK covenant, and God MULTIPLIES everything I put my hand to. My impact isn't measured by years but by OBEDIENCE. My latter is GREATER.
The Father isn't stressed about your timeline—He's been orchestrating every moment to converge NOW. What you'll do in the next season will carry more weight than the previous decades because NOW you know Him, trust Him, and aren't trying to prove anything.
