"I'm facing death soon and I'm afraid I didn't do enough for God."
How it sounds in your head: The end is coming—you feel it. You stand before God soon, and did you do enough? Serve enough? Win enough souls? Give enough? What if you hear 'depart from Me' instead of 'well done'?
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."
-- John 5:24Enemy terror: Salvation and eternal security depend on sufficient works, and death brings judgment for inadequate performance.
The hospital visits increase, friends die weekly, and you lie awake wondering if your life measured up. Religion taught you to fear the judgment seat.
The thief lived a criminal life, did nothing for God, couldn't even get baptized or serve—couldn't even get down from the cross to prove himself. He simply believed in his final breath, and Jesus said 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise'—INSTANT salvation, zero works.
I REFUSE the lie that I didn't do enough to earn heaven. IT IS WRITTEN that I shall NOT come into judgment but HAVE PASSED from death to life—that's done, settled, finished. I am Abraham's seed by faith, not works, and the BARAK blessing is mine by covenant. IT IS WRITTEN that the thief on the cross did NOTHING but believe and heard 'today, Paradise'—that's my promise too. I declare I am clothed in Christ's righteousness, not my works, and I will hear 'WELL DONE' based on HIS performance, not mine.
The Father isn't waiting at death with a performance review; He's waiting with arms wide open, running toward you with 'WELL DONE'—not because of your works, but because you're wearing Jesus' righteousness, and He did EVERYTHING.
