"Men your age are invisible to younger generations; you have nothing relevant to offer."
How it sounds in your head: The 30-year-olds don't ask your opinion. They see you as out of touch, irrelevant, a relic. Your experience doesn't translate to their world. Technology passed you by. Culture shifted. You're the joke in the room, not the leader. They tolerate you but don't value you.
"Wisdom is with aged men, and with length of days, understanding."
-- Job 12:12Culture's youth worship and dismissal of elders, opposite of biblical honor for those with gray hair and experience.
Younger guys really do ignore you in meetings. They roll eyes at your references. You don't understand their slang or platforms. Conferences don't invite you to speak. The world feels designed for 35-year-olds, not 55.
Paul, the older apostle, mentored young Timothy and told him 'Let no one despise your youth,' but also 'stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of MY hands.' The older generation imparts what the younger desperately needs.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm irrelevant. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Wisdom is with aged men, and with length of days, understanding.' What I carry isn't outdated—it's WISDOM the next generation needs whether they know it or not. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The splendor of old men is their gray head.' My years are splendor, not shame. The BARAK blessing makes me the head, not the tail, a lender of wisdom, not a borrower of relevance. I am Abraham's seed, and my covenant position doesn't depend on culture's approval. Titus 2 says older men MUST teach younger. I am ESSENTIAL, not invisible.
The Father hasn't made you obsolete—He's been loading you with exactly what the younger generation needs, and He's about to connect you with hungry hearts. He's running toward you not with retirement but with DEPLOYMENT into mentoring and legacy.
