"I've lived my whole life trying to justify my right to exist."
How it sounds in your head: Every accomplishment was a defense. Every success was evidence you submitted to the jury of humanity, trying to prove you deserved to be here. You're sixty-plus years into an exhausting trial, and you still don't know if you've made your case. You're tired of defending your existence.
"For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him."
-- Colossians 1:16Performance curse rooted in belief that existence must be earned rather than received as gift.
You've actually spent decades over-functioning, over-achieving, over-compensating—all to silence the voice that questioned your right to take up space. You can feel the exhaustion of a lifetime spent justifying yourself.
The Samaritan woman had five failed marriages and was living with a man—complete scandal, social outcast, justifying her existence daily. Jesus sought HER out, revealed Himself to HER first, and made HER the first evangelist. She went from defending her existence to declaring His glory—instant.
I REFUSE the lie that I must justify my right to exist. IT IS WRITTEN that I was created by Him and for Him—my existence is justified by the Creator Himself. I am not on trial. I am not defending my right to be here. I was made FOR Jesus, BY Jesus, and that's all the justification I need. IT IS WRITTEN that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The verdict is already in: WANTED, CREATED, LOVED. I step off the stand and step into rest. I exist because He wanted me to exist, and that's enough.
The Father sees you exhausted from decades of self-defense and says, 'Stop. You don't need to prove anything. I made you because I wanted you. That's the only justification that matters. Now rest.'
