THE LIE Too Old
"I'm too young to have authority over the enemy. Spiritual warfare is for adults."

How it sounds in your head: Demons probably don't even notice kids. Spiritual warfare is serious business for pastors and deliverance ministers. You don't have the authority or experience to command anything. You'd just make things worse. Stay in your lane until you're older and trained.

IT IS WRITTEN Luke 10:19

"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

Enemy whispers: You're too young for spiritual authority. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Luke 10:19 - Jesus gave AUTHORITY to trample serpents and scorpions to His disciples who were brand new believers, not seasoned veterans. Authority isn't based on experience; it's based on whose NAME you use. IT IS WRITTEN in James 4:7 - 'Resist the devil and he will FLEE from you.' Not 'resist when you're older.' FLEE. NOW. The enemy flees from the NAME of Jesus in your mouth at twelve years old exactly the same as from a fifty-year-old. Your authority is HIS authority, and His authority has no age restrictions.

WHERE THIS LIE COMES FROM

Enemy - convincing you of powerlessness so you won't use the authority you already have. Trying to neutralize you before you realize who you are.

Why this feels true:

Spiritual warfare sounds intense and scary. Adults talk about it in serious tones. You've seen movies where priests do exorcisms. That's not for kids. You might mess something up or get hurt spiritually. Better leave it to professionals.

Jesus sent seventy NEW believers (not the twelve experienced apostles) and they came back shocked that demons SUBMITTED to them in Jesus's name. Authority worked IMMEDIATELY with no training period.
