"I'm too young and inexperienced for God to use me powerfully now—I need to wait until I'm older."
How it sounds in your head: Adults don't take me seriously. When I feel God stirring something in me, I think I need to wait until I'm 'mature enough' or have proven myself. Real ministry is for grown-ups who have their lives together. Right now I should just sit, learn, and wait my turn.
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
-- 1 Timothy 4:12Source: Religious age hierarchy teaches God uses you in proportion to your earthly credentials and years of experience.
Every authority structure in her life (school, family, church) is age-based. She's dismissed in conversations and told to 'wait until you understand better.' It feels arrogant to think God would use her NOW.
Josiah became king at age 8 and began seeking God at age 16—still a teenager. By 20, he was tearing down idols and reforming the entire nation, accomplishing what grown men failed to do for generations. God didn't tell him to wait until 30—He used him as a TEEN to transform a kingdom.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too young for God to use me now. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Let NO ONE despise your youth, but BE an example'—not later, NOW. Josiah reformed a nation at 16. Samuel heard God as a child. Mary carried the Messiah as a teenager. IT IS WRITTEN: God has chosen the foolish things to shame the wise. I am Abraham's seed—the BARAK blessing isn't waiting for my résumé. The Father isn't saying 'wait your turn'—He's handing me the robe and ring TODAY.
The Father isn't telling you to sit in the back until you've earned a seat at the table. He seated you at the head IMMEDIATELY—ring, robe, sandals, party. Full authority restored before you even finished your 'make me a servant' speech.
