"I'm too old for healing to matter. God's healing power is for younger people with more life ahead."
How it sounds in your head: Even if God healed me, I only have a few years left anyway. Why would He waste a miracle on someone my age when younger people need it more? My body's worn out naturally - that's just life.
"They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing."
-- Psalm 92:14Source: Ageism that values productivity over personhood, making God's love conditional on usefulness.
Everyone his age has health problems, doctors treat decline as normal, and he feels like he's lived his life already. Society treats elderly as disposable, and he's internalized that God might too.
Abraham was 100 years old, body 'as good as dead,' Sarah's womb dead - medically impossible for children. Yet he didn't weaken in faith but grew stronger, and God gave him Isaac - supernatural life flowing into aged bodies.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too old for healing. IT IS WRITTEN that the righteous shall STILL bear fruit in old age, being FRESH and FLOURISHING - not declining, not managing deterioration, but FLOURISHING. God didn't write me off at 70. IT IS WRITTEN that Abraham's dead body came alive at 100 years old because nothing is impossible with God. My age doesn't limit His power or His purposes. Caleb conquered mountains at 85. Moses had strength at 120. I receive healing and strength because my Father delights in me regardless of my age. My value isn't in productivity but in sonship.
The Father isn't looking at your age calculating if you're worth the miracle - He's running toward you with healing because you're His beloved child and every moment with you matters to Him, whether you have 3 years or 30 ahead. You're never disposable.
