"I'm too much—too emotional, too needy, too broken. People only tolerate me until I exhaust them."
How it sounds in your head: You feel everything so deeply it scares people. Your emotions are too big, your needs too many, your problems too complicated. You've learned to shrink yourself, to apologize for existing, because being yourself is exhausting for everyone around you.
"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
-- Zephaniah 3:17Rejection spirit weaponizing sensitivity to make a prophet believe she's a problem instead of a gift.
She's been told to calm down, to not be so dramatic, to get over it. Every time her emotions spill over, she sees people step back, and she's learned that her fullness is too much for others to handle.
She crashed a dinner party, wept uncontrollably, poured expensive perfume on Jesus' feet, kissed them, dried them with her hair—completely over the top. Religious people called her too much. Jesus called her forgiven and sent her in peace, instantly.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too much. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord REJOICES over me with gladness and singing—He doesn't tolerate me, He CELEBRATES me. My emotions are not a flaw; they are a FEATURE, designed by a God who feels deeply. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made—every ounce of my sensitivity is ON PURPOSE. I am not too broken for love. I am Abraham's seed, blessed in my coming and going, and the BARAK on my life means I don't exhaust people—I REFRESH them. I am blessed to be a blessing.
The Father isn't backing away from your big emotions—He's leaning in, wiping tears, and singing over you. He doesn't need the edited version; He celebrates the raw, real, fully-feeling daughter He made you to be.
