"I'm too damaged and broken to be useful to anyone now."
How it sounds in your head: You've been through too much—the divorce, the betrayal, the losses, the trauma. You're not the woman you were before it all broke you. You're too wounded, too triggered, too much of a mess. God might use whole people, but you're disqualified by your brokenness. You're damaged goods no one wants.
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us."
-- 2 Corinthians 4:7Accusation of enemy exploiting trauma and disappointment to declare permanent disqualification.
You DO carry wounds. You ARE triggered sometimes. You've been through legitimate trauma that left real scars. The brokenness is undeniable and feels disqualifying.
Denied Jesus three times, cursed, swore he didn't know Him, then wept bitterly in total brokenness. Fifty days later he preached and 3,000 were saved—God didn't wait for him to 'heal' from his failure; He used him IMMEDIATELY in his brokenness.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too damaged or broken to be useful. IT IS WRITTEN that God puts treasure in EARTHEN VESSELS—my cracks and wounds are WHERE HIS LIGHT SHINES BRIGHTEST. I am under the BARAK blessing that protected liars, deceivers, and murderers—my brokenness doesn't disqualify me from COVENANT PROMISES. IT IS WRITTEN that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, and that includes INSTANT HEALING available NOW. I declare that my mess is becoming my MESSAGE, my test is becoming my TESTIMONY, and God is using my brokenness to demonstrate His POWER right now.
The Father is running toward you while you're STILL BROKEN, not waiting for you to glue yourself back together. He's wrapping you in the robe of righteousness while you're still smelling like the pig pen of trauma—your brokenness is the perfect canvas for His MASTERPIECE.
