"I have nothing valuable to offer the world or anyone around me"
How it sounds in your head: Everyone else has skills, talents, direction. I'm just... here. My friends are landing careers, leading ministries, building things. I show up and add nothing. People tolerate me, but I don't actually contribute anything worth keeping.
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
-- Ephesians 2:10Enemy whisper amplified by comparison culture and performance-based identity teaching that measures worth by visible achievement.
Social media shows everyone else's highlight reel while he's still figuring out basics. Every gathering feels like he's the only one without something impressive to say when asked 'what are you doing these days?'
Shamgar wasn't a trained warrior—he was a farmer with an ox goad, a cattle-prodding stick. With that ridiculous 'weapon,' he killed 600 Philistines and delivered Israel, earning exactly ONE VERSE in Scripture but changing history instantly.
I REFUSE the lie that I have nothing to offer. IT IS WRITTEN that I am God's workmanship, created in Christ for works HE ALREADY PREPARED. My value isn't earned through achievement—it's GIVEN through sonship. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, the head and not the tail. The BARAK blessing that protected Abraham the liar and Jacob the deceiver covers me in BETTER COVENANT through Christ's blood. I don't need impressive credentials—God uses OX GOADS to deliver nations. My contribution flows from connection to the Vine, not my striving.
The Father isn't waiting for you to become impressive—He's already bragging about you to angels. You're the son He RUNS toward, not because of what you bring, but because of whose blood bought you.
