"I'm too weak and frail to matter to God or anyone now."
How it sounds in your head: You can't even walk to the bathroom alone. Your body is failing, your mind forgets names, and you need help with everything. God uses the strong - you're useless.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Religious performance measuring that values strength over surrender, imported from world's power metrics.
Your body betrays you daily. You depend on others for basic dignity. The Bible talks about running races and fighting fights - you can barely breathe.
At 120 years old, about to die, God gave him a private viewing of the Promised Land and buried him personally. His weakness didn't diminish God's intimate attention - it increased it.
I REFUSE the lie that my weakness makes me irrelevant. IT IS WRITTEN that God's strength is made PERFECT in my weakness - I am the exact canvas He wants. My frailty doesn't repel Him; it ATTRACTS His power. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 40:29 that He gives power to the WEAK and increases strength to those who have NO might. I don't need strength to receive from Him - I need CONNECTION. I am a branch abiding in the Vine, and fruit comes from HIS life, not my ability.
The Father doesn't measure your value by muscle mass or mental sharpness. He runs toward you in your frailty like He ran toward the prodigal - your weakness is His invitation to carry you.
