"I'm at that awkward in-between age—not a kid anymore but not a real teenager either."
How it sounds in your head: You don't fit anywhere. The little kids think you're too old, the teenagers think you're too young. You're stuck in this weird middle place where nobody really wants you around. Even your body feels wrong and awkward.
"He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will."
-- Ephesians 1:4-5World system that puts people in boxes and makes them earn their place instead of recognizing identity in Christ transcends all categories.
She literally IS between childhood and adolescence, feeling too mature for kids' activities but too young for teen groups. Her changing body makes everything feel uncomfortable and uncertain about where she belongs.
Samuel was a boy serving in the temple when God spoke to him directly—not through Eli the priest, but to the child. God bypassed the experienced adult and spoke His word to the in-between kid, making Samuel the prophet to the entire nation instantly.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm stuck in an awkward in-between with no place or purpose. IT IS WRITTEN that before the world began, my Father chose me and predestined me for adoption—I have ALWAYS belonged. This season isn't a waiting room; it's a throne room where I'm seated with Christ in heavenly places. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, that the Lord commands blessing on everything I set my hand to. I am not too young or too old—I am EXACTLY who Father created me to be, right now, fully accepted, fully loved, fully empowered.
Your Father doesn't see you as in-between anything—He sees you as fully His daughter, complete in Christ. While the world tries to categorize you, He's running toward you with arms open, saying 'You are Mine, you are chosen, you are perfect in My sight,' not someday but THIS MOMENT.
