"You wasted your early years. You should have been more serious about God when you were younger."
How it sounds in your head: You see younger kids on fire for God and feel regret that you spent middle school and early high school chasing the wrong things. You think you missed your window of maximum impact.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Source: Religion's condemnation over past seasons and the enemy's strategy to make you focus on lost time instead of present grace.
You genuinely did waste years on things that don't matter, and you can't get that time back. It feels like you're starting the race later than you should have.
This man lived DECADES in crime and rebellion, meeting Jesus only in his final HOURS while dying next to Him. One moment of faith erased a lifetime of waste—Jesus promised him PARADISE that same day, no probation period required.
I REFUSE the lie that my past wasted years disqualify my future impact for the kingdom. IT IS WRITTEN that God RESTORES the years the locusts ate—not just stops the bleeding but RESTORES what was lost. My Father redeems time; He doesn't punish me for seasons I spent lost. IT IS WRITTEN that I press toward the goal, forgetting what is behind, because condemnation over the past is not from God. The thief on the cross got paradise after a lifetime of crime—my Father's grace doesn't require decades of faithfulness to activate. I am under the BARAK blessing that makes me blessed coming in and going out regardless of where I've been. My best years are NOT behind me—they're ahead, and God is making up for lost time with supernatural acceleration.
Your Father isn't disappointed in your younger years—He's excited about what He's about to do NOW that you're tuned in. He doesn't waste anything, including your past mistakes, and He's already turning your story into someone else's breakthrough.
