"You should focus on maintaining what you have, not risking new ventures."
How it sounds in your head: At your age, you can't afford big risks. Protect your retirement. Don't jeopardize what you've built. Be responsible, conservative, risk-averse. Leave the entrepreneurship and adventure to people with decades to recover if they fail.
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
-- Hebrews 11:6Religion of safety and fear masquerading as wisdom, opposite of faith that pleases God.
Financial advisors say 'preserve capital' in your 50s. You have less time to recover from mistakes. Friends who took risks at your age and failed are working retail now. The stakes feel higher.
Abraham at 75 years old left his country, family, and everything familiar 'not knowing where he was going,' trusting only God's promise. He risked EVERYTHING in old age and became father of faith and nations.
I REFUSE the lie that I should play it safe. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Without faith it is impossible to please Him'—and faith-filled risk pleases God more than fear-based preservation. The servant who buried his talent was called wicked. IT IS WRITTEN: 'He who comes to God must believe that He is a REWARDER.' God rewards faith, not safety. Abraham left everything at 75 and got nations. The BARAK blessing comes to those who OBEY, not those who hide. I am Abraham's seed, and my covenant includes DIVINE PROTECTION in risk. The blessing commands itself on my storehouses—I don't protect them, GOD DOES.
The Father isn't asking you to preserve—He's inviting you to PLANT, promising that HE protects what matters while you obey wildly. He's running toward you not with 'be careful' but with 'WATCH WHAT I DO when you step out in faith.'
