"I'm afraid of dying. What if I'm not ready? What if God rejects me?"
How it sounds in your head: Death is so close now. What if I didn't believe correctly? What if I missed something? What if my faith wasn't strong enough? What if I get to heaven and God says I didn't do enough?
"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out."
-- John 6:37Religion: Performance-based teaching has stolen assurance of salvation, making her question if she's 'good enough' for heaven.
Death is imminent and irreversible. She's heard 'depart from Me' verses. She remembers her failures. Religious voices planted seeds of doubt about assurance.
This dying criminal had no time for baptism, church membership, good works, or proving his faith. He simply said 'Lord, remember me' and Jesus IMMEDIATELY promised him Paradise—instant assurance of heaven with zero religious qualifications, just faith in Jesus!
I REFUSE the lie that God might reject me at death. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus will BY NO MEANS cast out the one who comes to Him—I have come and He receives me COMPLETELY. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ—I am in Christ, therefore NO condemnation awaits me. My entrance to heaven is not based on my performance but on HIS finished work. The thief on the cross entered Paradise with one prayer—how much more do I have assurance after a lifetime of walking with Him? I am SECURE. Heaven is my HOME. Death is my DOORWAY to Glory.
The Father is saying, 'Daughter, you are MORE ready than you think. Not because of what you've done, but because of what JESUS did. When you breathe your last here, you'll breathe your first THERE—and I'll be waiting with open arms, saying WELCOME HOME.'
