Too Old
"I'm too old now. My best years are behind me and God can't use someone my age anymore."

How it sounds in your head: You had your shot when you were younger and stronger. Nobody needs an 85-year-old man who can barely walk. The world has moved on without you, and God has moved on to younger, more capable people.

Joel 2:28

"And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."

-- Joel 2:28
Enemy whispers: You're too old for God to use. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Joel 2:28 - 'Your OLD MEN shall DREAM DREAMS.' God specifically mentions old men because your age is your QUALIFICATION, not your disqualification. He saved the dreams for you because you have the wisdom to carry them. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 92:14 - 'They shall still bear FRUIT in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.' Fresh and flourishing at 85!
Quick Truth: LIE: Too old to be used. TRUTH: Old men dream dreams—your age is your qualification, not disqualification. Joel 2:28

Enemy's lie contradicting God's covenant with Abraham who received his greatest promises at 75 and beyond.

Why this feels true:

Your body is failing in ways you never imagined, and society treats elderly men as invisible or burdensome. Every obituary you read is someone younger than you, and your doctor appointments outnumber your social invitations.

Genesis 12:1-4
Abraham

Abraham was 75 years old when God STARTED his greatest assignment, calling him to father nations. At 100, he fathered Isaac—the child of promise—proving God's greatest works often come in your oldest years.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my age disqualifies me from God's purposes. IT IS WRITTEN that old men shall dream dreams, and I receive fresh dreams from Heaven right now. My age is not a barrier—it's my credential of faithfulness. IT IS WRITTEN that I shall still bear fruit in old age and be fresh and flourishing. I am Abraham's seed, heir according to the PROMISE, and the BARAK blessing has no expiration date. God is doing His greatest work through me NOW.

But God actually:

The Father sees you and is RAN toward you with assignments specifically designed for this exact age and season. He's been PREPARING these dreams for decades, waiting for you to have the maturity and perspective to carry them, and He's releasing them NOW.
