"I'll be a burden to my kids because I won't have enough saved"
How it sounds in your head: I see grandparents who ran out of money and had to move in with family. Everyone's stressed and resentful. I don't want to be that burden on my future kids, but I don't see how I'll save enough to avoid it.
"The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing."
-- Psalm 92:12-14World system: provision viewed as personal responsibility rather than covenant promise, creating fear of becoming a burden.
You've seen it happen in families around you. Elderly relatives with no money become sources of stress. You don't want to repeat that pattern but don't see a mathematical way to avoid it.
At 85 years old, Caleb declared 'I am as strong today as I was forty years ago' and asked for the mountain with the giants on it. Zero burden mentality—total strength and provision in old age. He flourished, not faded.
I REFUSE the lie that I'll be a burden in old age. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The righteous shall still bear FRUIT in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.' Caleb was conquering giants at 85—that's my covenant promise. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you!' The BARAK blessing includes supernatural provision and vitality in every season of life. I declare that I will FLOURISH in old age, not fade. I will be a blessing, not a burden, because God's provision doesn't decrease with my age.
Your Father is running toward you with the Caleb anointing—strength and provision at 85 that looks like 45. He's not letting you fade into dependency—He's carrying you into flourishing regardless of your age or account balance.
