"It's too late to catch up financially—I'll never have the retirement I dreamed of."
How it sounds in your head: You had dreams once—travel, a little house somewhere peaceful, time with grandkids without financial stress. But the years slipped by with crises, divorces, job losses, helping others. Now you're staring down retirement age and none of those dreams are possible. The window closed. You'll just survive, not thrive.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
-- Ephesians 3:20Enemy using time as a weapon to steal hope and make you believe God's promises have expiration dates.
You're 60-plus. The financial timeline for 'catching up' is mathematically impossible according to every retirement calculator. Dreams require money you don't have and won't have. Reality has crushed the dream.
Sarah was 90 years old—decades past childbearing, body 'dead' according to biology. She laughed at the promise because it was medically impossible. God gave her Isaac anyway, and she nursed him and laughed with joy. Too late became right on time.
I REFUSE the lie that it's too late to see my retirement dreams fulfilled. IT IS WRITTEN that God is ABLE to do exceedingly abundantly above all I ask or think—not 'was able' but IS ABLE, right now, at my age. My dreams aren't dependent on time or money I have—they're dependent on a God who does the impossible. IT IS WRITTEN in Joel 2:25 that God restores the years the locust ate. Sarah had a baby at 90. Abraham received the promise at 75. Caleb claimed his mountain at 85. God's best often comes in the 'too late' season to showcase that it was Him, not my planning. I am blessed, and my latter days will exceed my former.
The Father isn't mourning your lost dreams—He's about to resurrect them in ways that make you laugh like Sarah, saying 'Who would have thought at MY age God would do THIS?' Your story isn't over; it's about to get really good.
