"If Christians were real, they wouldn't gossip about each other like my youth group does."
How it sounds in your head: I told my small group leader something personal and by Wednesday the whole youth group was whispering about it. They worship on Sunday then destroy each other on the group chat. If this is Christianity, I want nothing to do with it.
"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

She experienced direct harm from Christians violating her trust, giving her evidence that the faith produces hypocrites. The cognitive dissonance between Sunday worship and weekday cruelty seems insurmountable.
Lived among people so wicked that God destroyed entire cities, yet God sent angels specifically to rescue Lot and his family before judgment fell. God didn't wait for Lot to find better community—He EXTRACTED him from the toxic environment and saved him anyway.
I REFUSE the lie that hypocritical Christians prove Jesus is fake. IT IS WRITTEN that it's better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man—people's failures don't define God's faithfulness. Those who hurt me will answer to the Father, but I will NOT let their immaturity steal my inheritance. IT IS WRITTEN that nothing can separate me from the love of God—not gossip, not betrayal, not church hurt. I am covered by the BARAK blessing that protected Jacob even when his own sons were murderers. My faith is in CHRIST, not Christians, and His track record is PERFECT even when theirs isn't.
The Father saw what they did and He collected every tear in a bottle. He's not defending their behavior—He's defending YOU, running toward you with comfort while holding them accountable. Your pain matters more to Him than their reputation, and He's already preparing a community that will HONOR the treasure you are.
