"The church just wants my money and free labor, not actually me."
How it sounds in your head: Every sermon ends with a giving pitch. They only call when they need volunteers. I said I was struggling financially and the response was 'have you tithed?' like that's the magic solution. I'm a resource to them, not a daughter.
"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price."

She's been guilted into giving when her bank account was overdrafted, told 'you can't out-give God' when she needed groceries. The only texts from church are volunteer requests, never 'how are you doing?'
This widow was down to her last meal, about to eat and die with her son, when Elijah asked her to feed him first. She gave from her lack, and immediately the flour and oil didn't run out for THREE YEARS—instant, sustained supernatural provision the moment she gave, not after proving herself.
I REFUSE the lie that my value is in my wallet or my service hours. IT IS WRITTEN that God invites those with NO MONEY to come and feast freely. I am not a resource to be mined—I am a daughter to be loved. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham is mine through Christ, and that blessing includes COMMANDED provision on my storehouses. The BARAK protected Abraham even when he had nothing to give, and it protects me now. I am blessed coming in and going out, in the city and in the field, and no church's budget needs can change that covenant.
Your Father isn't waiting for your tithe check to clear before He loves you. He's the one who invites you to the feast when your bank account says $3.47, throws the robe around you before you volunteer in kids' ministry, and calls you daughter before you do anything.
