"I wasted my one life on a fairy tale. I should have lived for reality, not ancient myths."
How it sounds in your head: What if the skeptics were right all along? I gave decades to something that might be wishful thinking. I could have pursued other things, believed differently. Now it's too late to change course, and what if I was just afraid of death so I invented comfort?
"For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty."
-- 2 Peter 1:16World system mocks faith as psychological crutch while offering no hope for death itself.
Modern culture frames faith as anti-intellectual, and facing death, the enemy amplifies every skeptical argument he's ever heard. His educated mind rehearses doubts while his body weakens, making spiritual realities feel less tangible than physical decline.
Simeon waited his entire life for one promise—to see the Messiah before death. In his final season, the Spirit brought baby Jesus directly to him in the temple, and he died in peace saying 'I have SEEN Your salvation.'
I REFUSE the lie that I wasted my life on comfortable mythology. IT IS WRITTEN that the apostles were EYEWITNESSES, not philosophers inventing comfort. The resurrection is the most historically verified event of antiquity—more documented than most of what I learned in school. My faith is not wishful thinking; it's response to actual events in actual history. IT IS WRITTEN that the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in me, and He is the guarantee of what's coming. I didn't waste my life—I invested it in the only thing that survives death. Like Simeon, I will see my salvation, and every year I spent seeking God will be vindicated in one moment of glory.
The Father is not nervous about your doubts—He knows what's waiting for you on the other side will obliterate every question in an instant of overwhelming reality. You didn't waste your life; you're about to graduate into the proof.
