"I wasted my chance at a good relationship with my parents and now it's too late."
How it sounds in your head: They're elderly now, maybe dying or already gone. You see other women caring tenderly for aging parents and you're swamped with regret for all the years of distance, the conversations you avoided, the reconciliation you postponed. The window closed and you missed it.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy uses time to create false finality, as if redemption has expiration dates God respects.
The physical reality is undeniable—they're frail or gone, and certain conversations will literally never happen now. Biology and mortality seem to have the final word.
Wasted his ENTIRE LIFE in crime and rebellion, met Jesus in the final HOURS before death with zero time to make amends or change anything. Jesus didn't say 'too late'—He said 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise,' granting full reconciliation and eternal inheritance in a single moment.
I REFUSE the lie that I've missed my window for redemption with my parents. IT IS WRITTEN that God RESTORES the years the locust has eaten—what I lost, what I avoided, what I postponed, He is REDEEMING right now. Time does NOT limit God's ability to heal, restore, reconcile. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, the head and not the tail—my story is NOT defined by what I missed, but by what HE is writing NOW. Whether my parents are here or gone, God is bringing restoration, peace, wholeness that transcends biology and timelines.
The Father isn't shaking His head at wasted years—He's already restoring them, weaving beauty from what looks like loss, bringing reconciliation that doesn't require the other person's physical presence. Right now He's healing wounds you think are permanent, redeeming relationships you think are finished, giving you the peace and closure you're convinced you forfeited, asking nothing of you but to receive it.
