"I wasted my best years — it's too late for God to use me"
How it sounds in your head: You're in your fifties now. You spent your twenties, thirties, maybe forties enslaved to addiction. Other guys built careers, families, legacies. You were in and out of rehab. You can't get those years back. You missed your shot. God can forgive you, but He can't USE you — not really. You're damaged goods with an expired date.

You look at peers who didn't waste decades — they're established, respected, ahead. You're starting over in your fifties. The years ARE gone. You can't rewind. Every birthday feels like another reminder of lost time. Younger guys without your baggage seem like better candidates for God's plans.
Moses spent 40 years as a prince, then 40 years as a FUGITIVE shepherd in the desert — 80 years before God used him. At 80, when most men are buried, God STARTED Moses' greatest work: delivered a nation, wrote the Torah, met God face to face, and is mentioned in Scripture more than almost anyone. His 'wasted' years became the SETUP.
I REFUSE the lie that I wasted my best years and it's too late. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locust has eaten — He REDEEMS time. I am not limited by age or lost decades. IT IS WRITTEN that He is able to do EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE all I ask or think. Like Moses didn't even START until he was 80, my GREATEST WORK is ahead, not behind. God doesn't check my résumé or my birthdate — He checks my AVAILABILITY. What the enemy meant to steal, God is RESTORING with COMPOUND INTEREST. The Abrahamic BARAK blessing of fruitfulness and legacy rests on me, and God is using EVERYTHING — even the lost years — for His glory.
Father isn't saying 'Sorry you wasted your shot.' He's saying what He said to Moses at 80: 'NOW is your time.' Like He restored Job with DOUBLE at the end of his life, Father is preparing you for a second half that will DWARF the first. He doesn't write you off at fifty — He's just getting started.
