"I wasted my best years in addiction - it's too late for God to redeem my life story."
How it sounds in your head: I'm in my seventies now. The decades I lost to drinking, the relationships destroyed, the opportunities missed - that's permanent loss. Other women were building legacies while I was destroying mine. What good years are even left?
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy's lie that past cannot be redeemed and time limits God's restoration ability.
She looks back at decades lost and looks ahead at limited years remaining. The math feels hopeless - not enough time left to make up for what's gone.
Entire life wasted in crime, dying as a convicted criminal with HOURS left to live - no time to build a legacy or make things right. Jesus gave him paradise that SAME DAY - complete redemption of a wasted life in one moment of grace.
I REFUSE the lie that it's too late or my years are wasted beyond redemption. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locust has eaten. My story is not over - my BEST chapters are still ahead. The Father operates outside time - He can give me in one moment what would take decades to build naturally. IT IS WRITTEN that with Him, one day is as a thousand years. I am not racing against time - I am walking in ETERNITY already. At 75, I have divine appointments, kingdom impact, and restoration glory ahead. My latter years will be GREATER than my former.
The Father didn't write you off at any age. The same God who gave Abraham a son at 100 and Sarah a baby at 90 is writing your redemption story NOW. He doesn't see wasted years - He sees a powerful testimony of restoration that will impact generations.
