"I was the 'other woman' once. That affair defines who I really am—a homewrecker."
How it sounds in your head: No matter what came after, I destroyed a family. That's the truth about me. I'm not the good Christian woman people think. I'm an adulteress at my core.
"She said, 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said to her, 'Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.'"
-- John 8:11Religious lie: Your worst sexual sin is your permanent identity—makes grace insufficient for 'big' sins.
Sexual sin carries unique shame in church culture. Decades later, the enemy still whispers 'adulteress' louder than 'forgiven.'
Bathsheba committed adultery with David, became pregnant, and her husband was murdered to cover it. Yet God chose HER to be Solomon's mother and placed her in the Messianic line—called 'her who had been the wife of Uriah' in Jesus' genealogy as a grace statement.
I REFUSE the lie that adultery is my identity. IT IS WRITTEN: Jesus does NOT condemn me. I am not defined by who I slept with—I am defined by whose BLOOD covers me. Sexual sin is not bigger than Jesus' sacrifice. I am not 'the other woman'—I am RIGHTEOUS, PURE, BELOVED BRIDE of Christ. IT IS WRITTEN: I am the righteousness of God in Christ. That affair is under the blood. My identity is REDEEMED DAUGHTER.
Your Father doesn't see you through the lens of that affair—He sees you through the lens of Jesus' blood. You're as pure as a virgin bride in His eyes.
