"I taught others to trust God, but He didn't come through for me when I needed Him."
How it sounds in your head: I prayed for others and saw miracles. I taught faith and provision. But my husband died after we prayed for healing. My own body is failing. Where was God for me?
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
-- Lamentations 3:22-23Religious formulas promised control over God's actions, making you believe right faith equals perfect outcomes.
You saw God move for others. You taught His promises. But your own losses are undeniable, and it feels like He showed up for everyone but you.
Job lost everything—children dead, body covered in boils, wife told him to curse God. He questioned, wrestled, and hurt. God didn't explain Himself, but showed up. In the end, 'the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning,' and Job lived to see four generations.
I REFUSE the lie that God abandoned me. IT IS WRITTEN that His compassions fail NOT and are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. My circumstances don't define His character. Job lost everything and God restored more than was lost. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:28 that ALL things work together for good to those who love God. My losses don't mean His promises failed—they mean heaven is closer. The BARAK blessing covers me in loss and in gain, because covenant doesn't break.
Father is saying, 'Precious daughter, I didn't leave you in the fire. I walked through it WITH you. Every tear is in My bottle. Your husband isn't gone—he's Home. And soon you'll see him again, and Me, and understand it all.'
