"I should be further along spiritually by now as a leader."
How it sounds in your head: You've been a Christian for years, leading others, yet you still struggle with doubt, temptation, and inconsistency. You should be past this by now. Other leaders seem so mature—you feel like a fake teaching things you haven't mastered.
"Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead."

You see your ongoing struggles and compare them to an imagined ideal of where you 'should' be. Leadership amplifies the pressure to have it all figured out.
Abraham is called the 'father of faith,' yet TWICE after receiving the covenant promise, he lied about Sarah being his wife out of fear. Decades into his walk with God, he still struggled—yet God never revoked the covenant or called him a fake.
I REFUSE the lie that I should be further along. IT IS WRITTEN that even Paul hadn't attained perfection—transformation is from glory to glory, not instant arrival. I am in PROCESS, and God isn't disappointed. IT IS WRITTEN that I'm under GRACE, not a performance timeline. The BARAK blessing covers me IN my growth, not after I've arrived. I declare FREEDOM from false timelines and INSTANT acceptance right where I am today.
The Father isn't tapping His foot, waiting for you to catch up to some imaginary standard. He's delighting in your growth, celebrating every step forward, loving you fully in the process. You're not behind—you're exactly where He's meeting you.
