"I need to tithe perfectly before God will open financial doors for me."
How it sounds in your head: I know Malachi says bring the whole tithe to unlock blessing. But when money is tight, I can't give 10% and still pay bills. So I'm probably blocking my own breakthrough by not tithing right.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:8Source: Religious law-teaching that makes Old Covenant tithing a New Covenant requirement for blessing.
Malachi 3:10 is quoted constantly as the formula: tithe = blessing, don't tithe = curse. She feels trapped between paying rent and unlocking Heaven, convinced her lack is because she's not giving enough.
The widow gave two small coins—all she had. Jesus didn't rebuke her for not giving 10% of some larger amount. He honored her HEART, not her percentage. Her offering was accepted fully, and there's no record of her needing to give more to unlock blessing.
I REFUSE the lie that I must tithe perfectly to be blessed. IT IS WRITTEN that God makes ALL grace abound toward me—my provision comes from HIS ability, not my percentage. Christ redeemed me from the curse so the BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine—and Abraham was blessed 400 years before tithing law existed. IT IS WRITTEN that I give freely as my heart decides, not under compulsion. I am blessed by the BLOOD, not by my bank transfer. I receive abundant provision NOW.
Your Father isn't holding your blessing hostage until you calculate the perfect tithe. He's running toward you with ALL sufficiency in ALL things, saying 'My grace is enough—I make it ABOUND toward you because of who I AM, not what you give.'
