"God expects me to figure out finances on my own at this point in life."
How it sounds in your head: You've had 90 years to get this right. God gave you a brain, opportunities, time. He's not going to micromanage your money now. You're supposed to be mature enough to handle this yourself.
"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."
-- Matthew 10:29-31Source: deist theology that God wound up the world and stepped back, contradicting Scripture's testimony of an intimately involved Father who cares about every detail.
He's been independent for decades, made decisions alone, feels like he should have mastered this by now. Religious teaching emphasized 'God helps those who help themselves' (which isn't even biblical).
Paul—the greatest missionary—needed FINANCIAL SUPPORT from churches his entire ministry. He didn't 'figure it out himself.' He received, thanked God, and kept preaching. Dependence on provision through others was God's plan, not failure.
I REFUSE the lie that God expects me to figure out finances alone. IT IS WRITTEN that He numbers the hairs on my head and tracks every sparrow—He is INTIMATELY involved in every detail of my life, including money. Jesus said apart from Him I can do NOTHING. IT IS WRITTEN in Proverbs 3:5-6 to trust the Lord with ALL my heart and lean NOT on my own understanding. God doesn't step back at 90—He steps CLOSER. The BARAK blessing is active until my last breath. I declare supernatural provision and divine involvement in every financial detail. He is Jehovah Jireh, my PROVIDER.
The Father is whispering: 'You were NEVER meant to do this alone. I've been waiting for you to invite Me into this area. Let Me show you what I can do.' He's not distant—He's EAGER to provide.
