"I need to have peace about dying instead of fighting for life."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe all this faith-fighting is just denial. Perhaps mature faith accepts God's timing for death. Fighting feels exhausting—maybe peace means letting go and surrendering to the process.
"With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation."
-- Psalm 91:16Religious confusion that equates passivity with trust, surrender to death with surrender to God.
Christian culture often praises 'dying well' and 'peaceful passing.' Fighting for life can be labeled as fear or lack of faith. She's exhausted and peace sounds spiritual.
When told 'You shall die and not live,' Hezekiah didn't accept it peacefully—he turned his face to the wall and wept bitterly in prayer. God responded to his FIGHT, not his resignation, and added 15 years.
I REFUSE the lie that peace means surrendering to death. IT IS WRITTEN 'With LONG LIFE I will satisfy him'—and I am not yet satisfied. Hezekiah FOUGHT a prophetic death sentence with tears and got 15 years added. My Father doesn't call passivity 'faith.' IT IS WRITTEN that the violent take the kingdom by force. I have peace because my Father is IN the fight WITH me, not because I've quit. The BARAK blessing that is mine includes satisfaction of days, and my days are not yet satisfied. I am not in denial—I am in DECLARATION. I shall NOT die but live. This is not fear speaking; this is FAITH roaring. And my Father roars WITH me, not against me.
Your Father isn't disappointed in your fight—He's PROUD of it. He's not asking you to peacefully accept what His Son violently defeated on the cross. He's handing you the sword of His Word and saying, 'Swing, daughter.'
