"I need to fix this myself by finding the right intervention or rehab or counselor."
How it sounds in your head: You're a fixer—spent your whole life solving problems. Engineer, manager, business owner, farmer—you made things work through analysis and action. Now your child is in crisis and every instinct says: research programs, find experts, invest in intervention. Maybe you haven't found the RIGHT solution yet. Maybe the right counselor, the right rehab, the right book would be the key.
"So he answered and said to me: 'This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.'"
-- Zechariah 4:6Self-reliance and provider-fixer identity trying to solve spiritual problem with natural solutions.
Your entire life validated the principle: identify problem, research solution, implement fix. It worked in your career, your finances, your health. The idea that you're POWERLESS to fix this contradicts your entire operational framework. Surely there's a solution you just haven't discovered yet.
Naaman the leper had money, power, connections—he brought silver, gold, and letters of recommendation to buy his healing. The prophet said simply: 'Go dip in the Jordan.' Naaman was FURIOUS—he wanted a complex solution matching his complex problem. He almost missed his miracle because the solution was too simple: just obey the word. Seven dips, instant healing.
I REFUSE the lie that I can fix my child through the right intervention or program. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit'—this is a God-job, not a management problem. I release my fixer-identity and receive my Father-identity: I pray, I bless, I rest in HIS ability. IT IS WRITTEN that Naaman almost missed his miracle looking for complex solutions—simple obedience to God's word is enough. I declare the Holy Spirit is doing what no rehab can do, speaking what no counselor can speak, reaching where no intervention can reach. The BARAK blessing draws my child like a magnet toward home. My job is surrender, not solutions.
The Father doesn't need you to find the right program—He needs you to release control and watch Him do what only He can do. While you're researching interventions, He's already intervening in ways you can't see, and the breakthrough will come not from your best plan but from His Spirit moving on your child's heart in a moment.
