"My prodigal child is too far gone for God to reach them now."
How it sounds in your head: You see the tattoos, the lifestyle, the friends they keep. They've hardened their heart completely. They mock what you taught them. Every year takes them further from God, and you're watching the window close. You failed to reach them when it mattered.
"I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away; I will bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick."
-- Ezekiel 34:16Source: Enemy accusation combined with religious teaching that there's a 'point of no return' for salvation.
You've watched them make progressively worse decisions for years, each choice seeming more defiant than the last. The child who once prayed at bedtime now openly rejects everything you believe, and the trajectory feels irreversible.
Manasseh sacrificed his own sons in fire, practiced witchcraft, consulted mediums, and set up idols IN GOD'S TEMPLE—the most evil king in Israel's history. Yet when he cried out from captivity, God heard him IMMEDIATELY, brought him back to Jerusalem, and restored him completely.
I REFUSE the lie that my child is too far gone for God's reach. IT IS WRITTEN that He seeks what was lost and brings back what was driven away. My child is not beyond His arm's length—they are IN His sight, under His pursuit. IT IS WRITTEN in Luke 15 that there is JOY in heaven over ONE sinner who repents, and my child is that ONE. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is upon my household, and as Abraham's seed through Christ, I declare God's covenant protection surrounds my prodigal even in the far country. The Father is RUNNING toward them right now.
While you're agonizing, the Father is orchestrating divine appointments, sending dreams, positioning believers in your child's path. He loved them before you did, and His passion for their return exceeds even yours—He's already prepared the robe, ring, and sandals.
