"I need to accept this as my new normal and stop hoping for different."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone says acceptance is maturity. Doctors say 'learn to live with it.' Maybe hoping for healing is just denial. Maybe grown-up faith means accepting reality and managing symptoms.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
-- Hebrews 11:1Religious spirit masquerading acceptance of sickness as wisdom while calling faith in healing immature denial.
Adults praise her for 'being realistic' and 'handling it well' when she stops talking about healing. Medical professionals present management as success. Fighting feels exhausting compared to surrendering.
Everyone told him to be quiet and accept his blindness—crowds rebuked him for disturbing Jesus. He REFUSED to accept 'new normal' and cried out LOUDER until Jesus stopped and IMMEDIATELY restored his sight—rewarding his refusal to surrender.
I REFUSE the lie that accepting sickness is maturity. IT IS WRITTEN that faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for—my hope for healing isn't denial but the EVIDENCE of healing manifesting. Jesus destroyed sickness at the cross and I will NOT call normal what He called defeated. The Abraham blessing is MINE through Christ—blessing in my body, not management of curses. IT IS WRITTEN that He was pierced for my transgressions and by His wounds I AM HEALED. I reject false acceptance and choose biblical faith that EXPECTS breakthrough. My 'new normal' is DIVINE HEALTH because I'm seated in heavenly places in Christ where sickness doesn't exist.
Father is running toward you WHILE you're still in the pig pen of symptoms, not waiting for you to accept permanent residence there. He's throwing a party for your HEALING, not your acceptance of sickness—the fattened calf was prepared for RESTORATION, not management.
