"I need to accept that God's plan for me is suffering and limitation forever."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe this is just your cross to bear. Everyone talks about God's mysterious plans and how suffering builds character. Maybe you're supposed to be the inspiration story—the one who suffers well. Stop hoping for change; just accept this is your lot.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Religious teaching that glorifies suffering as God's primary tool, making Him the author of pain rather than the Healer.
Well-meaning Christians quote verses about trials and God's sovereignty in ways that make it seem faithless to want healing or change.
Suffered 12 YEARS, spent all her money on doctors who made it worse, isolated by religious law. One touch of Jesus and IMMEDIATELY the flow stopped. Jesus didn't say 'keep suffering for character'—He said 'your faith has made you WELL. Go in PEACE.'
I REFUSE the lie that God's plan for me is suffering. IT IS WRITTEN that His thoughts toward me are thoughts of PEACE, not evil, to give me a future and a HOPE. Jesus came to give me ABUNDANT LIFE, not manageable suffering. Christ redeemed me from the curse of the law—sickness and limitation were part of that curse. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I was healed. I don't accept limitation as God's best—I accept HIS PROMISES as my inheritance. I am blessed with healing, wholeness, and supernatural breakthrough. I am above only and not beneath.
The Father isn't teaching you through suffering—He SUFFERED for you so you wouldn't have to. He's not waiting for you to accept pain; He's inviting you to receive His finished work at the cross where sickness was already defeated.
