"God gave me this disability to teach me something or humble me"
How it sounds in your head: This must be from God. Maybe I was too proud. Maybe He needed to break me. Religious people keep saying God is teaching me through this, that I needed this thorn to stay humble.
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."
-- Acts 10:38Religious lie that makes God the author of sickness and limitation, directly contradicting Jesus who healed ALL who came to Him.
Well-meaning Christians quote 2 Corinthians 12 constantly, and when you're desperate for meaning in suffering, a 'loving' explanation feels better than randomness. But it makes God cruel.
Blind from birth, disciples asked whose sin caused it. Jesus said NEITHER—it wasn't punishment or teaching tool. He immediately made mud, anointed his eyes, and the man was INSTANTLY healed after washing.
I REFUSE the lie that my Father authored this limitation to teach me humility. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus healed ALL who were oppressed by the devil, proving sickness is oppression, not curriculum. God is not punishing me or refining me through disability—Christ already took the curse at the cross. I am redeemed from the curse of the law, which includes sickness and brokenness. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give ABUNDANT life, and the thief comes to destroy. I renounce agreement with religious voices that painted my Father as cruel. He is running toward me with healing, not pedagogical suffering.
The Father isn't withholding healing to build your character—Jesus already revealed the Father's will by healing everyone who asked. He's not a teacher using pain; He's a Father running with the robe.
