"I must not be praying with enough faith for God to answer"
How it sounds in your head: Maybe if you really believed, something would happen. Those people who get miracles must have stronger faith. You're probably doubting too much. God responds to faith, and yours is clearly too weak.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religion turns faith into a work, a quantity you manufacture, positioning God as vending machine that dispenses based on your belief currency.
He hears sermons about 'mustard seed faith moving mountains' and feels like his faith is smaller than that. Doubt feels like disqualification.
Peter doubted and started sinking MID-MIRACLE, yet Jesus IMMEDIATELY reached out and caught him. Doubt didn't disqualify him—Jesus grabbed him anyway and they walked to the boat together.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith is a work I must perfect before God moves. IT IS WRITTEN that a father admitted his unbelief and Jesus STILL healed his son. My doubt doesn't cancel His faithfulness. IT IS WRITTEN that He who began a good work in me will complete it. I am a branch connected to the Vine—fruit comes from HIM, not my effort. The BARAK blessing operated on covenant, not confidence. God's response is based on HIS nature, not my faith performance. I am held.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to manufacture enough belief to unlock His movement. He's reaching for you while you're sinking, pulling you up before you even finish the prayer. Your weak faith doesn't intimidate His strong arm.
