"I must be doing something wrong spiritually if I'm not experiencing financial breakthrough yet."
How it sounds in your head: I watch others get blessed and wonder what's wrong with me. Maybe I don't have enough faith, or there's hidden sin, or I'm not praying right. I keep examining myself, trying to find what's blocking the blessing.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
-- Romans 8:1Source: Religion creating a performance-based system where lack means failure instead of understanding blessing is by COVENANT, not behavior.
She sees others blessed and assumes their success means her lack is punishment. Self-examination becomes condemnation instead of her resting in covenant identity and receiving by grace.
Jacob DECEIVED his father Isaac to steal Esau's blessing through lies. When Isaac discovered it, he trembled but declared, 'I have blessed him, and he SHALL BE BLESSED'—the blessing couldn't be reversed even by deception.
I REFUSE the lie that lack means I'm doing something wrong. IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 8:1 - 'There is NOW no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.' My blessing is by COVENANT, not behavior. Abraham lied and prospered. Jacob deceived and was blessed. Their blessing wasn't based on perfection; it was based on PROMISE. IT IS WRITTEN: Galatians 3:29 - 'If I am Christ's, then I am Abraham's seed, and an HEIR according to the PROMISE.' The BARAK blessing is mine because I'm IN CHRIST, not because I'm flawless. I receive breakthrough NOW by grace.
Your Father isn't examining your performance—He's celebrating your POSITION in Christ. The prodigal reeked of pigs and rebellion, and the Father RAN to him, not away. You're blessed because you're His, PERIOD.
