"I looked at something I shouldn't have and now I'm too dirty for God."
How it sounds in your head: I saw stuff online that I know was wrong. Now when I pray I feel like God won't listen because I'm contaminated. I feel gross and far from Him.
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."
-- Psalm 103:12Source: Enemy using normal developmental curiosity and temptation to create shame that drives young men away from the Father instead of toward Him.
Your body is starting to respond to things in new ways and the shame of what you've seen or searched feels like a permanent stain. You feel like you've lost your innocence and God's acceptance with it.
Rahab was a prostitute - her job was sexual sin. The spies stayed at her house and she helped them escape. She's in Jesus' genealogy and Hebrews 11 hall of faith. Her sexual past didn't disqualify her from the Messianic line.
I REFUSE the lie that what I've seen makes me too dirty for God. IT IS WRITTEN that as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed my transgressions. I am not defined by my worst moment or my biggest temptation. IT IS WRITTEN that the blood of Jesus cleanses me from ALL sin - not some, ALL. Rahab was a prostitute and made it into Jesus' family tree. The BARAK blessing covered Judah when he slept with his daughter-in-law thinking she was a prostitute. I am washed. I am clean. I am pure in His sight.
The Father doesn't recoil from you in disgust - He runs toward you knowing every search history and every struggle, holding the robe of righteousness that covers ALL of it. Your struggle doesn't surprise Him or change His love.
