"I haven't earned the right to expect answered prayer"
How it sounds in your head: Who am I to demand anything from God? I should be grateful for salvation. Asking for more feels greedy, entitled. I haven't served enough, given enough, sacrificed enough to deserve answers.
"Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."
-- Galatians 4:7Source: Religion preached false humility that called dependency 'entitlement' and made asking for inheritance feel like presumption.
Your generation was taught to never expect anything, and asking feels like demanding. Masculine provider shame says you should handle it yourself, not burden God with your needs.
Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding, expecting death—David restored Saul's entire estate to him and gave him permanent place at the king's table. He did NOTHING to earn it; he received it because of Jonathan's covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that I haven't earned answered prayer. IT IS WRITTEN: I am no longer a slave but a SON, and if a son, then an HEIR of God through Christ. I don't earn inheritance; I RECEIVE it. The BARAK blessing rested on Abraham by covenant, not achievement—and I'm Abraham's seed. IT IS WRITTEN: if God didn't spare His own Son, how will He not FREELY give me all things? Freely—not earned. I declare I'm not greedy for asking; I'm a SON claiming my inheritance. I am HEIR. I am BELOVED. I am the FATHER'S DELIGHT.
The Father doesn't calculate whether you've earned the right to ask—you're His son, and sons don't earn; they receive. He's been loading your inheritance into your account before you even knew to ask, not because you served enough, but because you're His, and He loves giving to His kids.
