"I have to count days clean or I'll forget how serious this is"
How it sounds in your head: My days clean is my identity now. People ask me my number. I track it on my phone. If I lose count or mess up, I'm back to day one. It's how I measure if I'm doing okay.
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."

Every meeting celebrates days, coins are given for milestones, and his worth feels tied to that number. Losing the count feels like losing proof that he's changed.
Zero days clean, currently dying from a life of crime, unable to even lift a finger in service, no time to prove change or show fruit. Jesus said 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise' - full salvation, zero performance, instant access, no counting required.
I REFUSE the lie that my worth is measured in days. IT IS WRITTEN that God wiped out the record of requirements and nailed them to the cross. I don't earn righteousness by streaks - I RECEIVED righteousness as a GIFT. My Father doesn't have a counter tracking my performance - He has a robe with my name on it that says RIGHTEOUS. The BARAK blessing wasn't based on Abraham's behavior tracking - it was based on COVENANT. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO CONDEMNATION for me in Christ. I am not defined by days - I am defined by the DAY Jesus said 'IT IS FINISHED.' That's the only number that counts.
The Father isn't looking at your app tracking days clean - He's looking at the blood of Jesus that declared you clean FOREVER at the cross. The prodigal didn't need a sobriety tracker to get the robe - he needed to come HOME, and the Father had been watching for him the whole time.
